My name is Mark Morris and I would like to welcome you to Fresh Ideas School of English in Novy Jicin, North Moravia, Czech Republic.
We specialise in teaching Business English at all levels and offer one-2-one and group classes.
Our school and company office is in Novy Jicin , but we also offer classes in Koprivnice, Pribor, Hranice, Valasske Mezirící, Frýdek-Místek, Frenštát pod Radhoštěm and Ostrava.
We use a variety of material and books including online news articles, English newspapers and literature and books such as Business Result, Business One: One, Market Leader, New English File, New Horizons etc.
I am a native English speaker, born in East Anglia in the UK. After graduating at Kingston University I started a small logistics business before selling it two years later to work as a Logistics Manager for a large national milk company.
In 1996, during the Balkans Conflict, I helped deliver aid to Bosnia by driving in aid convoys from London. In total, i went 4 times and delivered much needed medical equipment, drugs, clothing and food to refugee camps and hospitals across the war-torn region.
Following this 'year out' I moved into media sales where I managed a team of 6 sales people working on a global telecom publication. From media sales I moved into the telecommunications industry working as a Partner Sales Manager in London managing 60 reseller partners.
After a successful career in telecoms I took a TEFL course in Wimbledon and moved to Prague and then to Novy Jicin to start a business & general English language school.
In my classes I draw on the many years of commercial experience I have in sales, training, recruitment and business development. Often my English conversation classes use business books such as Business Result, or Business 1:1. I find a lot of top-level managers do not like using books and instead wish to have a straightforward business English conversation covering the past week's company performance, tasks in progress/completed etc. Either way, I am flexible and can accommodate a variety of needs.
